# City walk planner

List the places you want to see, how far apart they are and how long you will stay. You get a timed plan for the day, even if it runs past midnight.

## How to use it

Give each stop a name and the minutes you expect to spend there. For the walk from the stop before, type either the minutes a map app shows or the distance; the planner converts distances into time at your chosen pace. Use the arrows to reorder stops.

## How this is worked out

Each arrival is the departure from the stop before plus the walk; each departure is the arrival plus your time there. A distance becomes minutes as distance ÷ speed, and walks given in minutes count towards the total distance at the same pace, marked ≈. Times past midnight are marked +1 day. The times are estimates and real days run late, so leave some slack.

**Booking the day's tickets?**

Walking tours, museum tickets and café Wi-Fi often ask for an email address. For one-off sign-ups you will not need after the trip, a [free temporary inbox from CleanTempMail](https://cleantempmail.com/) takes the confirmation without a sign-up and deletes it after 3 days.

## Questions

**Is my plan saved?**

Yes, in this browser only, as you type, so it is there when you come back. It never leaves your device unless you copy the share link or the text yourself.

**How does the share link work?**

The whole plan is packed into the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers do not send to any server. Whoever opens it gets their own copy to change.

**Can a plan go past midnight?**

Yes. Times after midnight show +1 day, so a late dinner and a night walk back to the hotel stay in order.
